Curiox Biosystems is showing strong performance. The news that it has signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contract with a global life science equipment company for mass production of a new product appears to be influencing its stock price. It is expected that securing price competitiveness will enable full-scale overseas expansion.
As of 11:09 AM on the 11th, Curiox is trading at 21,100 KRW, up 9.1% from the previous day.
On the 9th, Curiox was invited as a strategic collaboration partner to the opening ceremony of Levity's Taichang, China Innovation Center, where it introduced 'Pluto,' an innovative leading product in the life sciences sector, and officially formalized the OEM contract between the two companies.
Curiox was invited as a strategic collaboration partner leading innovation in the bio sector for Levity's growth. CEO Kim Nam-yong attended, delivering a congratulatory speech and explaining the disruptive innovation and technological capabilities of the Pluto product, for which the OEM contract was signed between the two companies.
The Pluto product, launched by Curiox in June and subject to the OEM contract with Levity, is an automated device that integrates Curiox's Flutter Wash technology into Levity's high-performance research automation equipment, the Liquid Handling Workstation. It is known as an innovative device that can fully automate the cell analysis process, which had previously relied heavily on centrifuges and manual work, causing significant variability and time consumption.
CEO Kim Nam-yong said, "Congratulations on the opening of the Innovation Center that will integrate and advance Levity's production and R&D capabilities, a global top bio equipment company," adding, "We are pleased that Pluto equipment can be produced through Levity, which has excellent production and quality control capabilities."
With access to Levity's workstation platform, Curiox can launch products at reasonable prices and has secured stable production capabilities. An introduction to innovative new products produced by Levity was also conducted, with Curiox's new product, Flutter LT, being highlighted as a key product. It attracted significant interest from participants as a fully automated cell analysis device using a non-centrifugal method.
Levity (formerly PerkinElmer) is a global life science equipment company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with a market capitalization of $15 billion (as of October 10, 2024). It is a well-known industry-leading company recognized for high quality and reliability in the bio-medical equipment field through continuous innovation.
