Daedong announced on the 11th that it has unveiled the first AI home cultivator supporting urban gardening and indoor farming at the 'Smart Life Week' (SLW) held at COEX in Gangnam-gu.

Daedong is pursuing the development of an AI plant cultivator that monitors crop growth status in real time and smartly controls the growth environment as a long-term project. This product applies Daedong's advanced agricultural solution technology, 'Smart Farming,' based on AI and agricultural big data, enabling even novice farmers to easily cultivate crops in urban and indoor settings rather than farmland.

Daedong's AI plant cultivation function allows anyone to easily grow desired crops by automatically providing seeds and cultivation methods through a seed capsule sprouting system. A monitoring camera inside the cultivator automatically recognizes the seed capsule code to identify the seed type and automatically controls the environment?such as temperature, humidity, nutrient levels, and brightness?according to the seed type, minimizing labor input for cultivation management. Additionally, users can monitor in real time via the Daedong cultivator app, which analyzes growth status, leaf area, and fresh weight using AI algorithms, making it easy to know the optimal harvest time.

This product can cultivate over 40 varieties including leafy vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit vegetables, as well as functional natural plant resources developed by Daedong.
