Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will hold the ‘Yeongdeungpo-gu 2025 High School Admission Fair’ at 10 a.m. on October 12 in the exhibition hall on the 2nd floor of Yeongdeungpo Art Hall.
This fair was prepared to provide students and parents with the necessary information for school admission and career choices ahead of the high school application period starting in November.
Hosted by Yeongdeungpo-gu and organized by the Yeongdeungpo-gu University Admission Information Center, this event consists of ▲a special lecture on the 2028 university admission process and high school selection strategies ▲and counseling booths for each of the nine high schools in the area.
First, the special lecture will be delivered by Yoon Yoon-gu, a leading EBS entrance exam instructor and an advisory member of the Ministry of Education’s education policy committee, under the themes of ‘2028 University Admission Outlook’ and ‘2025 High School Selection Strategies,’ providing students with concrete career guidance. Furthermore, useful information necessary for high school life will also be shared.
Next, the district plans to gather nine local high schools in one place to actively promote each school’s educational environment and specialized curricula to students. Each school will set up individual promotional booths where admission counselors and current students will provide one-on-one customized consultations to visiting students.
A total of nine high schools will participate in this fair: Gwanak High School, Daeyoung High School, Seonyu High School, Yeouido High School, Yeouido Girls’ High School, Yeongdeungpo Girls’ High School, Yeongsin High School, Janghoon High School, and Hangang Media High School.
The briefing session is open to all high school applicants and their parents, with admission limited to the first 400 participants. All attendees will receive a promotional booklet containing the characteristics of each local school and key points from the special lecture.
Meanwhile, the district provides various educational programs through the Self-Directed Learning Support Center, including university admission information and career and job experience support. It also operates one-on-one admission consulting that develops customized strategies based on high school students’ school life and academic performance.
Additionally, on November 17, a ‘2025 University Admission Regular Decision Support Strategy Briefing’ will be held for students and parents preparing for the regular university admission process.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, “I hope this high school admission fair will serve as an important milestone for students to clearly set their career paths and achieve their dreams,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create an educational environment where all children can maximize their potential.”
