"Preventing Child Abuse Through Children's Theater"... Gangseo-gu Provides Education to 600 Children Children's theater performance. Provided by Gangseo-gu.

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) is taking steps to prevent child abuse through children's theater performances at local daycare centers and kindergartens. This month's event was organized to educate children about the types of child abuse and how to respond, using performances tailored to their level of understanding.

The event will be held for approximately 600 children aged 4 to 7 from 15 daycare centers and kindergartens that applied in advance. The venues include Woori Gom Kindergarten/Sarang Daycare Center (October 14), Lotte Central Research Institute mom Pyeonhan Daycare Center (October 15), Lira Daycare Center (October 21), and Sun Edu School Daycare Center (October 22), among a total of 15 locations. Each session lasts 30 minutes and will be conducted throughout October.

The performance features fairy characters who demonstrate how to wisely handle various child abuse situations. These characters will interact with the children in the audience, teaching them how to protect themselves and how to respond to potential child abuse risks in a way that is easy for children to understand.

The district expects that through this event, children will be able to recognize dangerous situations and learn how to respond appropriately to child abuse scenarios. More than 80 daycare centers and kindergartens showed strong interest by applying in advance for this event.

District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “We will continue to actively work to ensure that local children grow up in a safe and happy environment.”
