Digital IT and Accounting Training for Enhancing Public Activists' Competencies and Practical Skills

Guri Public Interest Activity Support Center Completes 'Public Interest Activist Training Program' Guri City is conducting the '2024 Public Interest Activist Training Program' at the Guri City Public Interest Activity Support Center.

The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 10th that it conducted the "2024 Public Interest Activist Training" at the Guri Public Interest Activity Support Center over five sessions from September 24 to October 7.


This training consisted of a total of five sessions: three sessions in the 'Digital IT field' covering ▲collaborative document tools (Google, Notion) usage ▲artificial intelligence and chatGPT ▲webpage and promotional material production, and two sessions in 'Accounting education' covering ▲Botame practical training and subsidy settlement document preparation ▲subsidy audit cases. A total of 32 participants completed the training.


The graduates shared their thoughts, saying, "It was a valuable time to improve practical skills necessary for activities as public interest activists, such as webpage creation and Botame accounting processing," and added, "Based on what I learned in this training, I will continuously identify and solve problems in my local area and strive to become a public interest activist who contributes to the development of the community."


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, "I hope that the skills honed through this training will be demonstrated throughout the region, showing the role of public interest activists leading the revitalization of local communities," and added, "Guri City will continue to make efforts to draw out leadership and cooperation from the local civil society."


Meanwhile, those who complete this public interest activist training will receive a certain additional score when applying for the 2025 public interest activity support project competition.
