Pyeongtaek City "Mandatory 3D Simulation for Apartment Building Review"

Establishment of 'Apartment Building Construction Standards'... Applied to Reviews After the 14th
All Fire Agency Guidelines Must Be Followed When Installing Electric Vehicle Underground Parking Lots

In Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, from the 14th onward, all multi-family housing applications for permits and approvals will be required to include three-dimensional simulations of the landscape.

On the 10th, Pyeongtaek City held a press briefing and announced the "Pyeongtaek-si Multi-family Housing Construction Standards," which focus on improving apartment landscapes and enhancing safety. The new construction standards will apply to all multi-family housing permit reviews subject to project plan approval from the 14th onward.

According to the standards, from the initial district unit plan review stage, simulation reviews of the multi-family housing landscape will be mandatory. Through this, the city plans to pre-assess apartment complex landscapes and create excellent multi-family housing complexes that harmonize high-rise and low-rise buildings, as well as slab-type and tower-type structures, moving away from uniform and standardized landscapes.

The standards also include measures to respond to electric vehicle fires in underground parking lots. Electric vehicle parking lots should, in principle, be installed above ground; however, if it is unavoidable to install electric vehicle parking underground, all guidelines from the relevant fire department must be fully complied with.

Park Young-cheol, Director of the Urban Housing Bureau of Pyeongtaek City, stated, "Through the newly established multi-family housing construction standards, we will plan apartment complex landscapes from an urban design perspective and create safer multi-family housing."
