Citizens are enjoying autumn while walking along the Hwanghwa Cosmos Road at Mului Garden in Joan-myeon, Namyangju City’s representative tourist destination on the 10th. Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 10th that the yellow cosmos flowers at the Water Garden in Joan-myeon, a representative tourist destination, began blooming in early October and will showcase their splendid beauty until the end of October, offering visitors the autumn atmosphere.
The Water Garden is a waterside park located along the Bukhang River in Joan-myeon, covering an area of 436,871㎡. It is a nature-friendly resting space equipped with various trees, a vast lawn plaza, wetlands with a living ecosystem, and an extensive flower meadow.
This place, visited by many throughout the four seasons, is expected to create an even more attractive landscape in autumn as the yellow cosmos flower meadow and the gradually reddening foliage blend harmoniously.
This year, despite difficulties in creating the flower meadow due to the summer heatwave, the city established yellow cosmos flowers with more vivid and beautiful colors through various measures.
Also, next to the Jinjoong Wetland, regular cosmos flowers bloom together, evoking childhood memories and enhancing the autumn atmosphere.
Kim Hak-cheol, Director of the Park and Greenery Management Office, stated, “We will continue to cultivate the Water Garden more beautifully so that Namyangju citizens can feel pride and visitors from across the country can create good memories at the Water Garden.”
