Singer Jin Haeseong, Na Sangdo, and Jeong Haeun Perform Celebration Concert
Pocheon City will hold the "27th Pocheon Sanjeong Lake Myeongseongsan Silver Grass Festival" from the 11th to the 27th around Sanjeong Lake and Myeongseongsan. Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) and the Pocheon Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Lee Joong-hyo) announced on the 10th that the "27th Pocheon Sanjeong Lake Myeongseongsan Silver Grass Festival" will be held from the 11th to the 27th around Myeongseongsan at Sanjeong Lake.
Now in its 27th year, the Silver Grass Festival is one of Pocheon's representative autumn festivals. This year, the festival area has been unified into the Sculpture Park, allowing visitors to enjoy various programs while viewing the silver grass in the park.
During the festival period, more than 20 programs across five categories will be operated. New programs such as "The Legend of Gungye," "Silent Disco," "Gujeolcho Eco-friendly Experience," and the "Eokmeong Challenge" held within the silver grass colony will offer visitors a special experience.
Additionally, for visitor convenience, the city has thoroughly maintained the parking lots in Sangdong and Hadong at Sanjeong Lake and installed new restrooms. Through the silver grass colony restoration project, 110,000 silver grass plants have been planted, and hiking trails have been maintained to showcase the splendid scenery of the silver grass colony better than ever.
The opening ceremony will be held at 12 PM on the 13th. It will be hosted by comedian Jung Myung-hoon, Pocheon City's public relations ambassador, starting with a pre-ceremony performance by the Pocheon City Folk Arts Troupe, followed by the official event.
After the official ceremony, celebratory performances by singers Jin Hae-sung, Na Sang-do, and Jung Hae-eun will take place. This year, as a special performance from Gyeonggi Province, a performance by the Gyeonggi Province Policy Touring Group, hosted by a famous comedian, will also be held.
Yang Dae-jong, the festival executive committee chairman, said, "The Silver Grass Festival is a long-standing metropolitan area representative festival themed around the silver grass of Myeongseongsan. This year as well, we will do our best to prepare the festival to provide precious memories to visitors who come to Sanjeong Lake and Myeongseongsan."
