The event was attended by about 100 people, including Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-seon, members of the Minse An Jae-hong Memorial Association, and citizens.

Minse An Jae-hong (1891?1965) was active as a member of the Joseon Language Society during the Japanese colonial period, working to protect Hangul and also serving as a committee member for the Joseon Language Standard Dictionary. In October 1942, he was imprisoned due to the fabricated Joseon Language Society Incident by the Japanese authorities. Along with Widang Jeong In-bo, he also contributed to the Joseon Studies Movement by publishing the collected works of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, titled 'Yeo-yu-dang Jeonseo.'

Mayor Jeong said, "Going forward, together with the An Jae-hong Memorial Association, we will actively carry out promotion projects to inherit and develop the noble patriotic spirit of Seonsaeng and widely publicize his achievements."
