Special Event for Children Under 12
Held at Train Theme Park from 24th to 27th
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will offer free admission to Seomjingang Train Village for all children under 12 visiting the festival grounds during the 24th Gokseong Simcheong Children’s Grand Festival from the 24th to the 27th.
The county stated that since the main protagonists of this festival, held under the theme "A Special Day Gifted to Children," are children, they hope that children from all over the country will share a special joy in Gokseong, which is why this event is being held.

Tourists visiting the Train Village with children must bring identification documents such as a resident registration certificate or family relation certificate to verify eligibility, and after confirmation at the Train Village ticket office, they can receive a free admission ticket.
The county is preparing various programs targeting children to make the Gokseong Simcheong Children’s Grand Festival a celebration enjoyed by children nationwide. Starting with the "Disney Wonder Gokseong Opening Parade," the festival will also host the "National Children’s Choir Competition" and the "2025 Gokseong Simcheong Children’s Grand Festival Official Poster Contest."
To create memories of becoming Disney characters for the children, on the opening day, the 24th, "The Disney Princess Concert" and the "Sing-Along Show with Carrie? and Ellie" will be held.
On the 25th, the sing-along show "Shinbi Apartment" will be performed; on the 26th, "Robocar Poli"; and on the 27th, the "Bebepin Happy Concert" will be held twice daily.
Additionally, this Simcheong Children’s Grand Festival will transform the entire Train Village into a playground where visitors can enjoy performances and hands-on experiences throughout the festival grounds. Robots and popular characters will be placed throughout the venue, preparing a variety of events that will satisfy children.
A county official said, "This festival focuses on creating beautiful memories that children from all over the country can cherish for a lifetime by visiting Seomjingang Train Village with their families, and we have prepared diverse programs accordingly." He added, "Since the Simcheong Children’s Grand Festival is positioned as Children’s Day in October, we will thoroughly prepare to ensure it is a festival that satisfies children."
Meanwhile, "Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village," where the festival is held, is the largest train theme park in Korea, covering approximately 240,000 square meters. It is filled with train-related attractions such as steam locomotives, small trains, and rail bikes, attracting many family tourists from across the country.
