The Yeoju City Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Park Doo-hyung) announced on the 10th that it will hold the 12th Legislative Forum on the theme of "Differentiation Strategy for the Yeoju Rice Industry Special Zone" at 2 p.m. on the 15th at the Eco-friendly Education Center of the Yeoju Agricultural Technology Center.

This forum was organized to strengthen the competitiveness of Yeoju City, the only rice production special zone in the country, and to explore ways to differentiate the Yeoju rice industry.

The Yeoju City Council plans to provide a public discussion platform involving various experts and citizens to review the challenges faced by Yeoju rice and pioneer a new future for agriculture.

At this forum, differentiation strategies including analysis of the current status of Yeoju rice, improvement of rice quality, processing, and expansion of distribution networks will be intensively discussed to enhance the brand value of Yeoju rice.

In particular, Lee Sang-hwi, head of the Yeoju Agricultural Industry Joint Brand Activation Center, will present differentiation marketing strategies to establish "Daewangnim-pyo Yeoju Rice" as a representative brand of South Korea and propose ways to strengthen competitiveness based on the excellence of Yeoju rice.

Chairman Park Doo-hyung stated, "Improving Yeoju's agricultural structure and enhancing the competitiveness of Yeoju rice will be an important starting point for the development of Yeoju City," adding, "I hope this forum will serve as an opportunity to seek practical policy directions and communicate with citizens."

The forum will discuss specific measures to improve the agricultural structure of Yeoju City, designated as a rice production special zone, differentiate rice quality, and expand processing and sales networks.

Based on the opinions derived from the forum, the Yeoju City Council plans to establish feasible policy tasks and make various efforts to ensure that Yeoju rice becomes the highest quality rice nationwide. They ask for the interest and participation of Yeoju citizens and farmers and expect this forum to be a new leap forward for the Yeoju rice industry.
