Hanam City Hosts Sebasi Lecture with Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Institute Lee Hyun-jae, Mayor of Hanam City, is conducting the Sebasi lecture held on the 8th, organized by the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Institute and promoted as part of the 2024 Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Learning Concert operation project.

Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 10th that it co-hosted the Sebasi lecture event held on the 8th, organized by the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Institute and promoted as part of the 2024 Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Learning Concert operation project.


With the purpose of raising awareness about the importance of lifelong learning and providing a venue for knowledge cultivation to support individuals' quality of life and regional growth, the event was held under the theme "A Deeper Perspective of People Creating New Challenges and Opportunities." Experts from various fields gathered to share ways to find one’s own path that remains steady amid waves of change, creating a special time for participants.


The relay lectures by four expert speakers from different fields offered profound insights and new opportunities in our rapidly changing society, receiving enthusiastic responses from about 250 Hanam citizens who attended.


Details included ▲Hwang Hyun-hee, a comedian turned investor who achieved financial freedom and is CEO of Saenggakbaljeonso Co., Ltd., sharing his new choices and challenges ▲Song Gil-young, a writer from Mind Miner, discussing how to exist and live autonomously while contemplating the future ▲Bestselling novelist Jung Yoo-jung’s special creative process exploring human psychology and inner struggles through works such as "Shoot My Heart," "Seven Years of Night," and "Origin of Species" ▲A story of finding the meaning of life by not letting go of hope and standing up again from a rare disease, shared by Kim So-min, author of "Here, I Am Alive."


Mayor Lee Hyun-jae emphasized, “Learning new knowledge allows us to understand the world, achieve inner growth, and furthermore create opportunities to positively impact the local community. We will do our best to realize lifelong learning policies that encourage reflecting on life and preparing for the future.”
