Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is selecting lead teachers to conduct digital education in the Republic of Uganda.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education conducted on-site training in digital education in the Republic of Uganda, Africa.
According to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Uganda last March, the Office of Education announced that it carried out on-site training related to digital education in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, from the 3rd to the 10th of this month.
This training was conducted in the form of leading teachers from the province visiting Nsangi Secondary School in Uganda to provide digital education.
In particular, they transferred knowledge and information related to Korea's digital education, including teaching methods utilizing various digital tools and technologies, and also had time to communicate with Ugandan teachers.
Ugandan teachers expressed that it was meaningful to learn Korea's digital education firsthand and were very grateful to the Korean teachers who passionately taught despite the challenging digital environment.
Dr. Kedrace R. Turyagyenda, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda, stated, "This cooperation will enhance the digital education capabilities of Ugandan teachers and bring positive changes to the education system," expressing deep gratitude for the support from the Office of Education.
Lim Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, said at the opening ceremony of the digital education training for Ugandan teachers last June, "I hope this will be an opportunity for the Office of Education and Uganda to teach and learn from each other and grow together," adding, "I hope Uganda will become a leader in African education through continuous cooperation in the future."
