4 Product Improvements to Enhance Product Competitiveness
hy announced on the 10th that the cumulative sales of its liver health fermented milk product 'Coopers' have surpassed 1 billion units.
First launched in 2004, Coopers was developed over three years with an investment of 5 billion KRW, inspired by vitality fermented milk. It was later renewed as the liver health fermented milk ‘Hutgaenamu Project Coopers,’ pioneering a new category called ‘liver health functional fermented milk.’
In 2013, ‘Coopers Premium’ was introduced. Coopers Premium was a product that embodied hy’s probiotic technology at the time and gained great popularity. It was the first in Korea to apply a dual cap for easier consumption. The liquid contained Hutgaenamu extract powder, while milk thistle was included in tablet form in the cap.
hy has enhanced the competitiveness of Coopers Premium through a total of four product improvements. The slogan was also changed to ‘Liver Health Coopers,’ solidifying its recognition as a representative liver health product. In 2017, the lineup was expanded with the addition of a blood circulation care product containing red yeast rice, which can help improve blood cholesterol levels.
Based on a clear concept of liver health and efforts to improve quality, the average daily sales rose to 100,000 units. Annual sales also reached 100 billion KRW.
A representative from hy’s Dairy CM team said, “Coopers is one of the representative products that expanded hy’s functional probiotics domain. We will continue to work hard so that the liver health fermented milk, loved for 20 years since its launch, can be loved by even more customers.”
