"An Incredibly Massive Hurricane"
An American meteorologist shed tears while reporting on the super typhoon 'Milton.'
On the 9th (local time), according to foreign media including the BBC, hurricane expert John Morales, who delivers weather forecasts on NBC affiliate NBC6, warned viewers that "'Milton' is an incredibly powerful hurricane." With a trembling voice, he said, "The pressure dropped by 50 millibars in just 10 hours." This indicates that the hurricane's intensity has increased further. With reddened eyes, Morales apologized, saying, "I apologize" and called it a "terrifying event."

Meanwhile, 'Milton' is a Category 5 hurricane with the highest intensity, raising concerns that it could be the worst hurricane in 100 years. In response, U.S. President Joe Biden has postponed his scheduled trips to Germany and Angola from the 10th to the 15th and ordered an all-out response. The White House issued a statement saying, "President Biden has decided to postpone his visits to Germany and Angola to ensure continuous response and oversight, considering Milton's expected path and strength."
President Biden said, "This could be one of the worst storms to hit Florida in 100 years," and added, "We are working to strengthen the scale of the federal government’s response and on-site efforts." He also emphasized, "People in the hurricane's path must heed local evacuation orders. This is not an exaggeration but a matter of life and death."
Foreign media reported that the disaster response could become a factor in the presidential election. The Associated Press stated, "This year's hurricanes have disrupted the schedule in the final weeks of the presidential campaign."
