On the 9th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it has prepared strengthened support measures for pregnant women in celebration of Pregnant Women’s Day on the 10th.

A "Pregnant Women Fast Track" will be installed at major cultural event venues hosted by Seoul. Certification to receive benefits can also be easily done through the "Seoul Wallet" app. From this month, pregnant women using municipal sports facilities can use the facilities for free or receive discounts on admission fees, usage fees, and class fees. Gocheok Dome Stadium and Jamsil Swimming Pool will offer a 50% discount on individual practice fees and program tuition fees. Admission fees for the Seoul World Cup Stadium tour will be fully waived. The Seoul Museum and Art Museum have prepared special exhibition discounts for pregnant women.

The Pregnant Women Fast Track (priority entry system) will be introduced at major cultural events hosted by the city. The city plans to recommend that organizers comply with considerations for pregnant women not only at city-hosted events but also at city-sponsored events.

To receive these benefits for pregnant women, one simply needs to download the Pregnant Women app card from the "Seoul Wallet" app. The Pregnant Women app card, introduced nationwide for the first time by the city, can be used up to six months from the expected delivery date. It allows easy proof of pregnancy without the need to carry supporting documents such as a maternity handbook, pregnancy confirmation certificate, or pregnant women badge.

Kim Seon-sun, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Women and Family Office, said, "We will continue to discover and expand policies for pregnant women and spread a culture of consideration for pregnant women throughout our society."
