Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) will hold a special real estate lecture at Haenuri Town on the 28th of this month to provide information on safe real estate transactions and home ownership, including prevention of jeonse fraud.

This special lecture, titled "Prevention of Jeonse Fraud and Practical Home Ownership Strategies," will be conducted by Kim In-man, director of the Real Estate Economy Research Institute. With growing concerns over various jeonse frauds such as "empty jeonse," where the jeonse deposit exceeds the housing price and tenants fail to get their deposits back, the district has invited an expert to provide guidance on how to prevent related damages.

The lecture will introduce response methods by type, focusing on actual cases of jeonse fraud, and cover important points to note in lease contracts and essential special clauses. Attendees will also learn practical methods for home ownership. The session will help establish realistic home ownership strategies by providing an overview of real estate market trends according to market economic flows.

The lecture will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM on the 28th of this month at Haenuri Hall on the 2nd floor of Haenuri Town. Pre-registration is available through the Yangcheon-gu Office website, and on-site registration on the day of the lecture is also possible. The number of participants is limited to 200.

Meanwhile, since June last year, the district has been operating the Yangcheon-gu "Jeonse Damage Support Center" to provide legal consultations with lawyers for reporting and support related to jeonse damage. In addition, various projects are underway to create a stable residential environment, including △ Safe Jeonse and Monthly Rent Contract Assistance Service △ Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee Support Project △ Free Brokerage Service for Low-Income Groups △ Name Tag Wearing Project for Brokerage Assistants.

Mayor Lee Gi-jae said, "This special lecture will be a great opportunity to acquire correct knowledge about real estate contracts and understand the trends in the real estate market." He added, "We will continue to strive to develop various policies to alleviate concerns about jeonse fraud and protect residents' assets."
