Naver 1784 Found by Riyadh Mayor of Saudi Arabia... Discussing Technology Cooperation

Experience Advanced Technologies Including Digital Twin to Be Introduced in Riyadh-si

Faisal bin Ayaf, Mayor of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Mohamed Albuti, CEO of NHC, along with their delegation, visited Naver 1784 on the 8th. The visit was to experience various future technologies, including the digital twin to be introduced in Saudi Arabia.

This visit was arranged on the occasion of their trip to Korea to attend the Seoul Smart Life Week starting on the 10th. The delegation visiting 1784 included Faisal bin Ayaf, Mayor of Riyadh; Mohamed Albuti, CEO of NHC; Yasser Alobaidan, CEO of Balady; Michael Dyke, CEO of New Murabba; Asim Al-Shuhaibani, CEO of Riyadh Holding Company; Fahad Al-Nafi, CEO of Remat Advanced; and Sami Alsadhan, Saudi Ambassador to Korea. From Naver, CEO Choi Soo-yeon, Head of External/ESG Policy Chae Seon-ju, CEO of Naver Cloud Kim Yoo-won, and CEO of Naver Labs Seok Sang-ok attended.


The Riyadh city government, NHC, and Balady are key partners in Saudi Arabia’s digital twin platform. Riyadh is the capital of Saudi Arabia and the site of various giga projects. It is a major city for the digital twin platform that Naver will build targeting five Saudi cities, and it will also serve as Naver’s regional headquarters for the Middle East.


Balady is a national platform in Saudi Arabia that provides and operates various services related to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, including information, civil complaint applications, and navigation-related map services. New Murabba and Riyadh Holding Company are leading real estate development companies in Saudi Arabia.


The visiting delegation directly experienced advanced technologies such as the digital twin applied at Naver 1784. They discussed practical and long-term ways to utilize and apply the digital twin platform to be built in Saudi Arabia. This is the first time that CEOs of major partner companies related to the Saudi digital twin platform construction project have visited 1784 in person. They also continued discussions on ways to utilize various Naver services and technologies, including the digital twin platform.
