Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the opening ceremony of the Onnuri Childcare Center, a public daycare facility, which opened on the afternoon of the 8th at Yeomni Sangnok Apartment.
Onnuri Childcare Center transitioned from private operation to management by Mapo-gu on July 10th.
After changing the management system, Mapo-gu improved the facilities to create a comfortable and safe childcare environment.
As a result, the number of enrolled children increased from 10 to 21, and inquiries for admission reservations are steadily rising.
At the event, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said in his congratulatory speech, “I am very pleased that Onnuri Childcare Center, a new public daycare center in Mapo transformed into a pleasant space, has opened,” adding, “Mapo-gu will build a solid childcare infrastructure to create a ‘Mapo that is good for raising children.’”
Afterwards, Mayor Park Gang-su and other attendees had a plaque unveiling ceremony followed by a tour of the childcare center.
