Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 8th that the Yangju branch of the Korea Gugak Association (Branch Chief Choi Jeong-sook) will hold a performance titled ‘Yangju Pungnyu Madang’.
This event is part of the ‘Gyeonggi-do Culture Day’ project hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Yangju branch of the Korea Gugak Association, featuring two performances consisting of ▲Gyeonggi folk song performances ▲traditional performances ▲fusion gugak performances ▲traditional Korean dance.
The first part, ‘Hyangyu,’ will take place on the 13th at the outdoor stage of Okjeong Lake Park in the city, followed by the second part, ‘Eoullim,’ which will be held on the 27th at the Okjeong Lake Library Arts Theater.
A city official said, “We hope this autumn performance will be a beautiful healing time that preserves Yangju’s traditions and touches the emotions of its citizens.”
