Ranked 1st in the final competition of the 'Grand Prize' by category

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul announced on the 8th that the Seongbuk-gu Women's Choir achieved a great success by winning 1st place in the A2 competition category at the '2024 Philippines Bohol International Choir Competition' and securing the overall championship, the 'Grand Prize Winner.'
The international choir competition, held from the 2nd to the 5th, was divided into five categories, with a total of 15 teams from five countries including Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore participating.
The Seongbuk-gu Women's Choir took 1st place in the A2 (same-gender choir) competition category and advanced to the grand prize final, where the first-place winners of each category competed. They won the overall championship with their high-level performance skills.
The Seongbuk-gu Women's Choir has achieved notable results through active activities both domestically and internationally, including participating in an invited performance in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia in 2016, winning the grand prize at the 22nd Presidential National Choir Competition in 2018, and winning the grand prize at the 17th Geoje National Choir Competition in 2023.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "I am very proud of our Seongbuk-gu Women's Choir, who demonstrated their well-honed skills and achieved excellent results," and added, "We will continue to provide much interest and support so that they can continue their active role as Seongbuk-gu's representative cultural ambassadors."
