Nowon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it will hold the '2024 Bulamsan Garden Outing' at Bulamsan Healing Town on the weekend of the second week of October.

The Bulamsan Garden Outing is an autumn healing program held at the Nowon Garden Support Center and Healing Garden within Bulamsan Healing Town, a representative attraction of the district. It is designed to help residents enjoy the nature of Bulamsan, spend relaxing time, and develop an interest in gardens and plants.

The outing program will be richly organized on the 12th and 13th with ▲family programs ▲air plant object making ▲free experience programs ▲busking and performance shows.

First, the family program, which family visitors can participate in, will conduct mobile making under the theme of ‘My Lovely Companion Plant.’ Using the ‘paper collage’ technique, which allows drawing on paper, cutting, and pasting to create a three-dimensional effect, participants can design their own companion plants.

The mobile making, led by artist Jeon Yu-ri who is active as a paper collage artist, is a reservation-based program where up to three family members form a team to participate. Two sessions per day, with four teams per session, a total of 16 teams will be recruited, and each session lasts 90 minutes. Residents who wish to participate can apply through the Nowon Garden Support Center reservation system. The participation fee is 10,000 KRW per team.

The air plant object making held on the Healing Yard deck is a program where participants create mini objects that can be displayed anywhere using air plants such as Ionantha, known for air purification, and wire. On-site registration will recruit the first 100 people per day, and the participation fee is 2,000 KRW per person.

The free pipe cleaner flower ring making will be held at the back gate of the Garden Support Center. Pipe cleaners are craft materials with soft yarn attached to easily bendable wire, allowing participants to create unique flower rings by moving the small muscles of their hands and fingers.

Also, during the programs, the Healing Garden will offer various attractions to visitors with music performances suitable for the autumn Bulamsan and the Garden Support Center, along with clown magic and mega balloon shows that everyone from young to old can enjoy.

On the 12th, the Bulamsan Infant Forest Experience Center will host the Infant Forest Family Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Under the theme ‘Bang Bang! Forest Family Grand Festival,’ the event is designed for families with children aged 3 to 5 to play and relax in nature.

Centered on forest interpretation programs, participants can create their own natural garlands using natural materials such as branches, pine cones, and cinnamon sticks, and enjoy various experience programs including family tree name tag making and traditional forest games, as well as balloon shows, bubble shows, and magic shows.

Additionally, near the venue of the Infant Forest Family Festival, a woodworking experience booth operated by the Gongneung Woodcraft Experience Center will be set up from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants can experience making eco-friendly pencil holders using ‘red pine’ lumber, which is mainly used in DIY crafts.
