Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) will hold the '2024 Itda Market' on the 12th at the open plaza of Baebongsan Neighborhood Park.
Now in its 9th year, the 'Itda Market' carries the meaning of a market that connects production and consumption, as well as residents with residents. This event is expected to feature 46 companies, including social economy enterprises and local small business owners.
The event is composed of ▲ Flea Market Zone ▲ Experience Zone ▲ Event Zone ▲ Food Zone. In the Flea Market Zone, social economy enterprises, local small business owners, and handmade artists will act as direct sellers, showcasing a variety of products produced or distributed locally, such as food, clothing, accessories, and pet supplies.
In the Experience Zone, a total of 11 experience programs will be offered, including eco-friendly perfume making, rattan crafts, leather crafts, and calligraphy art. The Event Zone will feature caricatures, face painting, coffee grounds utilization experiences, and busking performances by local artists to add enjoyment. The Food Zone will provide various foods such as hot dogs, tteokbokki, and desserts.
To promote the spread of eco-friendly consumption culture, a sticker event will also be held during this event. Visitors who use shopping bags, reusable containers for packaging, or tumblers will receive stickers, and those who collect five stickers can use the experience programs in the Event Zone for free.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “I hope this Itda Market will be of practical help to social economy enterprises and local small business owners,” and added, “We will do our best to prepare the event so that residents can realize the importance of eco-friendly consumption and participate in various experience activities.”
