Namyangju City Welfare Foundation Launches Local Currency App 'Smart Donation Service'

Gyeonggi Namyangju City Welfare Foundation (CEO Won Byung-il) announced on the 7th that it has launched a ‘Smart Donation Service’ that allows easy donations through the Namyangju City local currency app.

This service enables local currency users to check various stories of marginalized neighbors and the welfare foundation’s donation programs through the app’s ‘Donate’ menu, select the desired story, and easily donate using the local currency recharge balance.

When the fundraising period for a donation story ends, the collected donations are delivered to the recipients through the Namyangju City Welfare Foundation, and donors can check their donation details in real time via the app, contributing to the creation of a transparent donation culture.

In particular, donors can receive income tax deduction benefits through donation receipts issued by the Community Chest of Korea, which is expected to further encourage citizen participation in donations.

CEO Won Byung-il said, “This ‘Smart Donation Service’ lowers the barrier for Namyangju citizens to easily and conveniently donate through the local currency app, contributing to the spread of grassroots donation culture.”

He added, “We will continue to actively promote the local currency donation platform in cooperation with Namyangju City and do our best to enable citizens to contribute to the local community through donations.”

Through this service, the Namyangju City Welfare Foundation plans to further expand support measures for marginalized neighbors.
