The Jeong Yak-yong Library in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 7th that it will hold a special exhibition titled ‘The Legend Series by Picture Book Author Lee Ji-eun’ in the first-floor lobby from the 5th to the 27th.
This special exhibition was selected as part of the traveling exhibition project by the publisher Woongjin Junior and is open free of charge to all citizens using the library.
Author Lee Ji-eun, who won the grand prize in the Comics-Picture Book for Young Children category at the 2021 Bologna Ragazzi Awards, presents various exhibition contents themed around three picture books from the Legend Series: ‘The Legend of Patbingsu’, ‘The Legend of a Friend’, and ‘The Sun King Suba: The Legend of Watermelon’.
In particular, this exhibition features a ‘Character Zone’ where visitors can see B-cut images and lively depictions of characters not included in the picture books, and a ‘Reading Zone’ where visitors can read the Legend Series and its side stories, allowing for a deeper experience of the picture books.
Additionally, a ‘Experience Zone’ offers programs such as drawing tiger faces and creating one’s own stories, and a ‘Photo Zone’ where children can take commemorative photos with characters from the picture books, promising joyful memories for kids.
