Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) signed a "Business Agreement for Sustainable Urban Regeneration Projects" with Shinhan University (President Kang Seong-jong) on the 7th.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ support and cooperation for nurturing talent in urban regeneration ▲ exchange of human and material resources necessary for urban regeneration projects and joint use of knowledge and information infrastructure ▲ participation in planning for urban regeneration projects and resident capacity-building education to improve the living environment for citizens ▲ cooperation for regional economic development such as revitalizing local alleyway commercial districts and traditional markets ▲ exchange and cooperation to support urban regeneration contest projects ▲ support for project promotion and other measures to revitalize village communities and shopping districts.
Through this business agreement, a mutual cooperation system between the two organizations will be established, laying the foundation for promoting better urban regeneration projects. The upcoming urban regeneration projects are expected to create a vibrant city in a direction that citizens can feel and desire.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "I am very pleased to cooperate with Shinhan University, which has been with the citizens of Uijeongbu for a long time," and added, "Urban regeneration projects are created by the citizens, and I hope that through the cooperation between our city and Shinhan University with the citizens, they can live in a better environment."
President Kang Seong-jong said, "I am glad to be able to move forward together with Uijeongbu City in urban regeneration," and added, "Through this agreement, cooperation between the two organizations will advance to the next level, and through nurturing urban regeneration talent and infrastructure exchange, we expect to promote various urban regeneration projects."
