The People Power Party stated on the 7th that the media reports conveying former presidential office administrator Kim Dae-nam's claim that Representative Han Dong-hoon knelt down and apologized to First Lady Kim Geon-hee are "completely untrue."

An internet media outlet reported on a phone conversation with former secretary Kim, who claimed that on January 23, before President Yoon Seok-yeol and then interim committee chairman Han visited the fire-affected Seocheon Special Market in Seocheon County, Chungnam Province, Han apologized to the First Lady. At the time, Representative Han was in a conflict phase with President Yoon, making remarks such as "It is an issue to consider from the public's perspective" regarding the First Lady's alleged receipt of a luxury handbag.

In the phone conversation reported by the media, former secretary Kim said, "Han Dong-hoon said he was sorry and apologized to (the First Lady)," and "He knelt down completely," adding that the reason President Yoon visited the fire site was "to support Representative Han after they had already reconciled."

Meanwhile, the People Power Party's Party Affairs Audit Committee has decided to investigate the allegations of 'attack instigation' by former administrator Kim against Representative Han.
