Indonesia Imposes Anti-Dumping Duties on Cold-Rolled Products from Korea and Two Other Countries

Indonesia will impose anti-dumping duties on flat-rolled products manufactured in South Korea, China, and Taiwan starting from the 14th, according to major foreign media reports on the 7th (local time).

According to data released by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance on the same day, in addition to the general import tariffs and other duties already imposed on these products, an additional anti-dumping duty ranging from 4.4% to 7.9% will be applied.

The anti-dumping duties will be in effect until 2029.

The Ministry of Finance explained that this measure follows an investigation revealing that the Indonesian industry has not fully recovered from losses caused by the dumping practices of the three countries, including South Korea. Flat-rolled products are used in various applications such as automobiles, heavy equipment, pipes, construction machinery, and home appliances.
