15 Billion Won Budget Including Public Project Funds Invested for New Construction of Regional Self-Sufficiency Center

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 7th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute Foundation to revitalize self-sufficiency projects.
This agreement was prepared to smoothly promote the construction of the Seoul Gangseo Regional Self-Sufficiency Center. The main contents of the agreement include building infrastructure to revitalize self-sufficiency projects, supporting collaboration in self-sufficiency projects, and supporting the operation of self-sufficiency work sites.
The district was previously selected for the "2024 Self-Sufficiency Revitalization Infrastructure Construction Contest Project" hosted by the Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute, an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, securing 1 billion KRW in project funds. This contest project selected three sites nationwide to improve the efficiency of support for self-sufficiency and independence of low-income groups.
The district will add 500 million KRW of district funds to the secured 1 billion KRW from the contest project, investing a total budget of 1.5 billion KRW. Through this, it plans to construct the regional self-sufficiency center and self-sufficiency work unit sites by the end of 2026.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, "The selection for this contest project has provided an opportunity to build the Gangseo-gu Regional Self-Sufficiency Center," and added, "We will continue to do our best to promote local welfare and support the self-sufficiency and independence of low-income groups."
