A Venue for Local Residents' Unity and Harmony

Wolsong Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power supported the 6th Yangnam Jusangjeolli Hanmaeum Festival, which was held on the 5th at Haseohang in Yangnam-myeon, Gyeongju.

Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power supported the 6th Yangnam Jusangjeolli Harmony Festival on the 5th.

This festival was organized to widely promote the beauty of the Jusangjeolli, which has been certified as a National Geopark, and to strengthen unity and harmony among local residents.

At the festival site, the corner selling fresh agricultural and marine products from East Gyeongju introduced local specialties, attracting significant attention from both residents and tourists.

Additionally, the singing contest featured performances by invited singers such as Song Dae-kwan and Hong Si, as well as shows by students from the Yangnam Residents' Autonomous Program, creating an opportunity for the community to come together and foster pride in their village.

Kim Wondo, Chairman of the Yangnam-myeon Development Council, who organized the event, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters and other local organizations for their wholehearted support for this event."

Kim Sangwoo, Head of the 3rd Power Plant at Wolsong Headquarters, stated, "I hope that this festival, held against the beautiful backdrop of the Jusangjeolli, will help spread the beauty of Yangnam and attract more visitors to our region. Wolsong Headquarters will continue to work together with the local community, safely operate the power plant, and pursue mutual growth with local residents."

In particular, at this festival, Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters actively promoted its efforts to enhance local acceptance by broadcasting corporate promotional videos, operating a promotional booth, and providing information about KHNP support projects, SMR, the Special Act on Distributed Energy, and Wolsong Headquarters' local support initiatives.
