The Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation with the International Sports Performance Lab, a corporation, on September 27.
On September 27, Dongmyung University Department of Occupational Therapy signed a business agreement for mutual cooperation with the International Sports Performance Lab Foundation.
The purpose is to establish a cooperative system in the fields of education, research, and industry-academic cooperation based on the expertise of both institutions and to promote the development of the occupational therapy field.
The main contents include recruitment of trainees, exchange of field personnel, participation in lectures and special lectures, joint use of facilities and equipment, and fostering professional instructors for education and certification acquisition.
In particular, the International Sports Performance Lab will be exclusively responsible for the educational program focused on sports taping, while the Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University will cooperate in supporting and recruiting participants for the program.
Jo Mirim, head of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University, said, "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge and skills in the sports field." Professor Jo Seunghyun stated, "Collaboration with the sports performance field will open up new possibilities for occupational therapy."
The Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University expects that this agreement will greatly contribute to enhancing students' practical skills, strengthening their employment competitiveness, and exploring new directions for the development of occupational therapy.
