The Yeoju Christian Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, a corporation, is signing a consignment contract for the first branch of the Yeoju Together Care Center. The Yeoju Christian Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Representative Kim Yong-gil) announced on the 7th that it has signed a 5-year consignment contract with Yeoju City from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2029, regarding the operation of Yeoju City Together Care Center Branch No. 1 (Facility Manager Shin Yeon-cheol) on the 4th.
This consignment contract follows the previous 5-year contract signed from November 1, 2019, to October 31, 2024, and was renewed through a review process based on work performance, including achieving a perfect score of 100 in the Ministry of Health and Welfare evaluation.
Yeoju City Together Care Center Branch No. 1 is the first Together Care Center in Yeoju City, opened in December 2019 on the 5th floor of the annex building of Yeoju City Hall. Although user satisfaction was high, the facility was limited in size and located on the 5th floor of a commercial building, causing some inconveniences such as difficulties with children's commuting and lack of parking space. To resolve these issues, a business agreement was signed in July 2023 with Yeoju Office of Education and Yeoju Elementary School, and on September 1, 2023, the center relocated to the 1st floor of the main building of Yeoju Elementary School, where two existing classrooms were combined for operation.
Yeoju City Together Care Center Branch No. 1 operates with a capacity of 30 children and provides a safe space for elementary school students who need after-school care, aiming to make Yeoju a child-friendly city. It addresses care blind spots and offers various programs tailored to local characteristics, delivering high-quality services that have earned great satisfaction from many parents.
Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, stated, “I hope that the renewal of the contract for Together Care Center Branch No. 1 will be an opportunity to ensure that children receive care services in a better environment and grow up healthy.”
