Democrats Establish 'Kim Geon-hee Judgment Headquarters'... "Comprehensive Response to All Allegations"

The Democratic Party of Korea formed the 'Kim Geon-hee Family Corruption and State Affairs Manipulation Judgment Headquarters' on the 7th to strengthen its offensive against the government.

On the same day, the Democratic Party held the first meeting of the Kim Geon-hee Judgment Headquarters at the National Assembly Main Building in Yeouido, Seoul, discussing the division of roles among the committee members. The Judgment Headquarters is chaired by Senior Supreme Council Member Kim Min-seok, with members including Representatives Han Jeong-ae, Kim Hyun, Jang Gyeong-tae, Lee Yong-woo, and Yang Moon-seok.

Senior Supreme Council Member Kim said regarding Mrs. Kim, "When a real power, not elected, becomes intoxicated with excessive power, the country is doomed," adding, "We will consolidate the various issues related to Mrs. Kim scattered across each parliamentary committee and issue, and systematically focus on preparing for special investigation laws and state audits."

Representative Jang Gyeong-tae, who serves as the secretary and spokesperson of the Judgment Headquarters, stated, "Mrs. Kim has been involved in poverty porn behavior, allegations of falsifying academic background, career, and award history, suspicions of stock manipulation of Deutsche Motors, and preferential treatment allegations regarding the Yangpyeong highway," criticizing, "It is a 'comprehensive set' including the luxury bag bribery case and recent allegations of interference in candidate nominations."

Representative Jang said, "Now that the Judgment Headquarters has been officially launched, we will do our best to comprehensively organize and summarize the various allegations against Mrs. Kim."

During the meeting, the Judgment Headquarters organized about ten agenda items related to Mrs. Kim's allegations. They decided to request the submission of materials concerning the allegations during this state audit and to respond fully to any additional revelations after the audit.
