'Icheon Ginseng Festival' to be held from 25th to 27th

At Sindun-myeon Icheon Ginseng Sales Center

Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 7th that it will hold the 10th annual 'Icheon Ginseng Festival' for three days from the 25th to the 27th at the 'Icheon Ginseng Sales Center' located in Sindun-myeon.

Co-hosted by the city and the Donggyeonggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative to promote the excellence of Icheon ginseng, expand sales channels, and increase farmers' income, this event will introduce the superior efficacy of Icheon ginseng, methods of consuming ginseng, and foods utilizing ginseng.

Under the slogan "Sharing Happiness with Icheon Ginseng, Sharing Health with Icheon Ginseng," the festival will open with a ceremony at 2 p.m. on the 25th. During the festival, visitors can enjoy various events in addition to purchasing ginseng. There will be a variety of experiential activities such as ginseng foot baths, acupuncture, selecting ginseng seeds, matching ginseng weight, and face painting, as well as a food market offering various ginseng dishes.

Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon City, said, "The Icheon Ginseng Festival will not only widely promote the charm of Icheon but also help revitalize the local economy," adding, "Above all, we will prepare the festival with safety as the top priority."
