Delivered to Ulsan Community Chest of Korea
On the afternoon of the 7th at 2 PM, S-OIL delivered 50 million KRW to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Jeon Youngdo) for the purchase of safety protection equipment for social welfare workers. The ceremony was attended by Park Sunghoon, S-OIL Executive, Oh Segul, President of the Ulsan Council on Social Welfare, Yang Hoyoung, Secretary General of the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea, and other related officials.
Since 2023, S-OIL has supported 15 million KRW for the purchase of safety protection equipment for employees of the Ulsan Social Welfare Center Association, enabling social workers to effectively respond to crisis situations.
This year, the scope of support was expanded to 34 social welfare facilities and institutions in Ulsan so that more social welfare workers can perform their duties in a safer environment. The Ulsan Council on Social Welfare plans to use the funds provided by S-OIL to purchase body cameras, personal safety alarms, recording name tags, and emergency safety bells for the protection of social welfare workers.
Park Sunghoon, Executive of S-OIL, stated, "I understand that social welfare workers often have to work while being exposed to danger," and added, "I hope that the safety protection equipment provided this time will help social welfare workers deliver their services in a safer environment, even if just a little."
The attendees said, "We are grateful to S-OIL for supporting safety protection equipment not only for marginalized neighbors but also for the safety of social welfare workers," and added, "This support for safety protection equipment will be a great help in improving the working environment for social welfare workers in Ulsan."
