According to Hanam City on the 7th, Mayor Lee joined the relay campaign organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Child Rights Protection Agency on the 2nd, after being nominated by Kim Seong-je, mayor of Uiwang City.
This relay campaign was launched to raise awareness about child abuse and to widely promote the concept of positive parenting that respects children as they are. Since May, starting with the first vice minister of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, heads of government offices and public institutions nationwide have been participating.
Mayor Lee stated, “Through this campaign, we hope to improve awareness of child abuse and ask related organizations and citizens to maintain continuous interest so that all children can grow up safely and happily in society,” urging social attention.
The mayor nominated Shin Sang-jin, mayor of Seongnam City, and Kim Byung-soo, mayor of Gimpo City, as the next participants in the relay campaign.
