Imgok Park Golf Course in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, will open temporarily on the 10th.

According to Gwangsan-gu on the 7th, a 9-hole Imgok Park Golf Course (area 8,400㎡) has been established around 591 Imgok-dong (under Yongjin Bridge).

With this, Gwangsan-gu has its second park golf course following Seobong Park Golf Course (36 holes), which opened in 2022.

The temporary operation period is two months until December 9. Except for Mondays, which are closed days, it will operate every weekday and weekend from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Citizens can use the facility free of charge.

A Gwangsan-gu official stated, “During the temporary operation period, we will check for any areas that need improvement and look into any inconveniences citizens may experience. We will prepare thoroughly to operate it fully from next year.”

Meanwhile, Gwangsan-gu is promoting the establishment of a dedicated park golf course for the disabled, with 9 holes covering about 8,300㎡ within Seobong Park Golf Course, securing 450 million won in project funds from the district budget in June to enable people with disabilities to enjoy park golf.
