Gapyeong-gun Holds 'Large-scale Job Fair'... Alleviating Employment Thirst ‘2024 Gapyeong Special County Large-scale Job Fair’ poster.

Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 7th that it will hold the "2024 Gapyeong Special County Large-scale Job Fair" on the 17th and hopes for active participation from job seekers.

This large-scale job fair will serve as a venue connecting various excellent companies in the area with talented job seekers and allow participants to understand overall hiring trends. It will be held on the 17th from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Gapyeong Hanseokbong Gymnasium.

The county plans to expand the scale of the job fair, which had been held in small groups by towns and townships this year, to provide a one-stop employment service where talented individuals and excellent companies can meet and resolve recruitment and job-seeking needs.

The large-scale job fair will feature 50 pre-registered recruiting companies (30 on-site, 20 indirect) and about 400 job seekers. Job seekers can either apply in advance through the county job center or bring their ID and fill out job application forms and resumes on-site on the day of the event to participate in interviews with their desired companies.

To enhance the effectiveness of recruitment and job seeking, the county will provide 1:1 on-site interviews and matchmaking between employers and job seekers, register new job seekers, and offer job information. In particular, legal consultations will be provided for non-regular workers, and services such as resume and self-introduction letter writing assistance and application support for indirectly participating companies will be offered. Additionally, focused job-seeking support will be provided to expand employment for military families, marriage immigrants, and women with career experience, which are part of the county’s pledged projects.

Alongside the "On-site Recruitment Hall," a "Employment Support Hall" involving various institutions will be set up to assist practical employment and job-seeking activities. Participants in the Employment Support Hall include the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, Gangwon Employment and Labor Office Chuncheon Employment Welfare Plus Center, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Northern Gyeonggi Branch, Construction Workers Employment Support Gangwon Center, Northern Gyeonggi Military Manpower Administration, and the Gapyeong County Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, all providing employment-related consultations and information.

Governor Seo Tae-won stated, "This large-scale job fair will provide job seekers with quality job information and the latest employment trends, and it will be a great opportunity for participating companies to hire excellent talent. We will continue to frequently create opportunities to connect talented individuals and excellent companies in the area and actively support job seekers’ employment."

Meanwhile, to ensure the successful hosting of the "2024 Gapyeong Special County Large-scale Job Fair," additional volunteers to assist with the event are being recruited until the 14th. Those interested in volunteering or job seeking can contact the Gapyeong County Job Center or the Gapyeong County Volunteer Center.
