Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 7th that it is implementing the "Permanent Teeth Support Project for Children from Vulnerable Groups."

This project is funded by donations from the "Hometown Love Donation Program" and provides up to 3 million KRW per child for dental checkups, nerve treatments, and other related medical expenses for elementary school students from vulnerable backgrounds.

The city health center selected 15 students through fluoride application and oral examinations among elementary school students in the area.

Starting next year, the city plans to expand the program to include adolescents, further developing it into a project that donors participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program can relate to even more.

Mayor Choi Woncheol said, "I am pleased that the generous hearts of our donors are helping to reduce medical disparities," and added, "We will strive to make Gongju City's fund projects even more meaningful and impactful."
