Sign Language Interpreters and Volunteers Assigned, Free ID Photo Sessions, and Career Psychological Tests Provided for Employment Support
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will hold the 'Job Fair for the Employment Activation of Persons with Disabilities' on November 4th at the auditorium on the 5th floor of Guro-gu Office.
The district holds the job fair annually to provide job information and hiring opportunities by creating a meeting place between job-seeking persons with disabilities and recruiting companies.
This event is hosted by Guro-gu, in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Integrated Support Center for Disabled Employment and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Seoul Southern Branch.
Persons with disabilities seeking employment can participate in one-on-one job interviews on-site with companies recruiting for various positions such as office work, IT (Information Technology) communication, service jobs, and production/simple/labor jobs.
Job seekers should visit from 2 PM to 5 PM carrying ▲resume ▲self-introduction letter ▲disability welfare card ▲copies of certificates ▲participant personal information consent form, etc.
To support one-on-one on-site interviews and counseling services more efficiently, sign language interpreters and volunteers will be assigned to actively assist persons with disabilities, who are a vulnerable group in employment, to find jobs.
Additionally, various side events such as providing necessary recruitment information, free ID photo shooting, and vocational psychological tests will be operated.
A Guro-gu official said, “We hope this will be an opportunity for all persons with disabilities, who are vulnerable in employment, to achieve their dream of employment success,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to prepare various policies that can overcome social perceptions and economic difficulties.”
Furthermore, the district is recruiting companies to participate in the fair until the 21st. Companies with plans to hire persons with disabilities can submit application documents by visiting or emailing the Disability Welfare Division of the district office.
