58 Companies Related to Construction New Technologies Participate... Introducing New Technologies in Civil Engineering and Architecture
Various Side Events Including Keynote on Activating Construction New Technologies and Youth Employment Fair
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 7th that it will hold the "2024 Gyeonggi Province Construction New Technology Expo" for two days from the 10th to the 11th at the Suwon Convention Center.
The "2024 Gyeonggi Province Construction New Technology Expo," held to promote the development of domestic construction technology and to encourage the motivation of developers of new construction technologies, marks its 7th year this year. It is hosted by Gyeonggi Province, organized by the Korea Construction and Transportation New Technology Association, and supported by the Gyeonggi Provincial Council.
Under the theme "Changing the Future of Construction, Dreaming of New Value," this year's expo will feature about 58 companies related to new construction technologies, setting up 71 booths. The exhibition space will be organized by fields such as civil engineering and architecture to showcase and demonstrate new construction technologies and new construction methods all in one place.
The opening ceremony of the expo will be held on the 10th from 11 a.m., during which an award ceremony will be held for 17 individuals recognized as "Meritorious Contributors to New Construction Technology" and winners of the "2024 New Construction Technology Competition." Additionally, on the same afternoon, a presentation of outstanding works from the competition will be held to discuss ways to promote the utilization of new construction technologies.
A keynote lecture on the direction of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management in the construction industry will also be held.
On the second day, the 11th, a lecture titled "Direction for Establishing ESG for Sustainability and Innovation in the Construction Industry" will be delivered by Young-Deok Kim, Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Institute of Construction Industry.
Notably, during the expo, a job fair titled "My Job with Gyeonggi Province" will be held to provide job matching opportunities for graduates (or prospective graduates) within Gyeonggi Province and offer companies the chance to recruit outstanding talent.
In addition, a "Technical Briefing on Overseas Construction Projects" will be conducted for developers seeking overseas expansion through connections with design engineering firms, and job training on "Introduction to the New Construction Technology System and Guidelines for Post-Evaluation Report Writing" will be provided for public officials from ordering agencies.
Kang Seong-Seup, Director of the Construction Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Through the Gyeonggi Province Construction New Technology Expo, we are confident that promoting excellent new construction technologies and facilitating exchanges between ordering agencies and outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises will contribute to the advancement of construction technology."
