International OTT Awards Ceremony Held in Busan on the 6th
New Tech Award Goes to 'CocoWa' Promoting K-Content
Innovation Story Award to TVING Original 'Shaman'
At the international online video service (OTT) awards ceremony held in Busan, Netflix's "Parasyte: The Grey" won the Visual Effects (VFX) Award.
Co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan City, the "Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards" is currently underway at the outdoor theater of Busan Cinema Center on the 6th.

On this day, domestic and international OTT platforms, actors, directors, and writers gathered in one place to start with a red carpet event, followed by awards in a total of 15 categories (11 competitive, 4 invitational) covering about 20 works. A total of 201 entries from 16 countries worldwide were submitted, and 78 nominees passed the preliminary and main judging rounds.
The first honor of the night went to the Best Digital VFX Work award, won by the Netflix original Korean drama "Parasyte: The Grey." The realistic special effects captivated viewers, with the VFX work handled by the KOSDAQ-listed company Dexter Studios.
The Music Award went to the Taiwanese drama "Bu Gu Xian Liang Zhi A Men" for the song "Learn to Live Again" by Chae Geon Ah. The "People's Choice Award," voted by the public, was awarded to actors Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon for their outstanding performances in the drama "Seonjae Upgo Twieo."

The Rising Star Award recipients included actor Anson Kong from "Ta Cheon Ha 2," actor Jo Yoon Soo from the Disney Plus release "Tyrant," and Japanese actress Miyoshi Ayaka from "Earth Travel Guide."
The Innovation Story Award was given to the TVING original content "Shaman: Ghost Legend," a documentary work dealing with Korean shamanism.
The New Tech Award was won by KKOWA, an OTT platform operated by Wave America, which has been servicing K-content in the North and South American regions. Established in 2016, KKOWA has expanded to 73 countries and has over one million paid subscribers.
The Male Rookie Award was jointly awarded to actor Chae Jong Hyup from the Japanese TBS broadcast "I Love You" and actor Kim Yo Han from the webtoon-based Netflix original drama "The Killer's Shopping List." The Female Rookie Award went to Nimura Sawa, who appeared in the Japanese drama "Shut Up."
The Best Reality/Variety Award was given to the Thai entertainment program "Two Face" and "Seojin's Place 2," which depicts the story of running a Korean restaurant overseas.
The Writer Award went to writer Joo Hwa Mi for "I Am Not a Hero," and the Director Award was given to the married director duo Kamila Andini and Ifa Isfansyah for the Indonesian work "Cigarette Girl."
