Mercedes-Benz SUV Experience Center Unveiled
Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 6th that it has opened the 'Mercedes-Benz SUV Experience Center,' where customers can experience the off-road capabilities of sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
It was created on a site of over 26,000㎡ near the AMG Speedway track in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The company explained that it is the largest permanent off-road course in Korea and the only one that utilizes natural terrain. The area is designed while preserving forests, trees, and slopes as they are.
Mercedes-Benz Korea introduced this as its second vehicle experience space after establishing the AMG brand-applied track AMG Speedway in partnership with Samsung C&T Resort Division in 2018. The intention is to provide Korean customers with a broad brand experience.
Matthias Bechtel, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea, said, "This investment is part of our efforts to repay the support of Korean customers and our commitment to expanding diverse and specialized vehicle experience spaces in Korea. We are pleased to offer a more dynamic and differentiated high-performance SUV experience."
The course is divided into an SUV course and a G-Class exclusive course. The SUV course offers various obstacle experiences on three slopes with different surfaces and angles. The G-Class exclusive course maximizes the use of natural terrain, such as driving between trees in an actual forest, providing a more dynamic and realistic mountain driving experience.
The experience vehicles include Mercedes-Benz’s representative SUV models, from internal combustion engine models like the GLC, GLE, and GLS to electric SUVs such as the EQE SUV and EQS SUV, as well as the new G-Class. Professional instructors provide guidance and taxi driving experiences. Registration began this month, and detailed information is available through the operations office or the Naver reservation site.
