Jeonju City in Jeollabuk-do has set a Korean record for the 'Most People Mixing Bibimbap Simultaneously at a Single Location.'
On the 6th, Jeonju City announced that a large bibimbap mixed by 1,963 people together at the Jeonju Bibimbap Festival held at Jeonju Sports Complex on the afternoon of the 5th was registered with the Korea Record Institute (KRI). This performance was planned to commemorate the upcoming demolition of the Jeonju Sports Complex, which was built in 1963 through the dedication of its citizens. After reviewing the number of participants and the performance process, the Korea Record Institute officially registered it as a Korean record.

Jeonju is currently holding the month-long October integrated festival ‘Jeonju Festa 2024,’ which blends the taste, charm, and excitement of Jeonju. During the first week (3rd?6th) of ‘Jeonju Festa 2024,’ the ‘Jeonju Bibimbap Festival’ takes place, followed by the ‘Jeonju International Hanji Industry Expo’ and ‘Jeonju Reading Festival’ in the second week (11th?13th), and the ‘Jeonju Joseon Pop Festival’ in the third week (18th?20th). Finally, in the fourth week, the ‘Jeonju Makgeolli Festival’ is scheduled to be held at the Jeonju Sports Complex.
