A said, "Until elementary school, he did not show much violent tendency," but added, "He often bullied other kids." "His violent tendencies worsened over time," A said, "We were in the same class in the second year of middle school, and he suddenly hit my head and picked fights." However, A also said, "He would bow down to those bigger or tougher than him." A further revealed, "He was very skinny even then, and the linear scar on his face was a wound he had since childhood."
Also released was a tip from B, who served in the military with Park Daesung six years ago. B said, "Park Daesung picked fights and fought regardless of seniority, junior, or peers in the unit. As a survival training instructor, he raised his voice and threw punches even at people from other units who had undergone survival training, always creating an intimidating atmosphere within the unit." B added, "I remember him showing off his tattoos, boasting that he was a very scary and powerful person," and said, "I even thought he might be a psychopath."
Park Daesung is accused of killing high school student C (18), whom he had never met before, with a weapon around 0:44 a.m. on the 26th of last month on a street in Jorye-dong, Suncheon. He, who ran a restaurant, was drinking alone at his shop, then took the weapon and went outside. He happened to chase C, who was passing by, for about 800 meters and killed her from behind. His smiling face was captured on CCTV after the crime, causing shock.

He also wandered the streets with the weapon, got into arguments with passersby, and visited bars and karaoke rooms to drink. About 2 hours and 20 minutes after the incident, around 3 a.m., the police responded to a report and arrested Park Daesung.
The victim, C, was understood to have gone out to buy medicine for her disabled father when she was attacked. In a prior police investigation, Park Daesung stated, "I broke up with my girlfriend and business was bad, so I drank four bottles of soju," and "I do not remember the circumstances of the crime."
