Dongbu Hope Care Center, Gyeonggi Namyangju Child Protection Agency, and 3 Other Organizations Jointly
Namyangju City Mental Health Welfare Center will hold a joint campaign to improve mental health awareness in celebration of "World Mental Health Day" on October 10. The Gyeonggi Namyangju City Mental Health Welfare Center announced on the 4th that it will hold a joint campaign to raise awareness of mental health at the plaza of Exit 1 of Pyeongnae-Hopyeong Station in celebration of 'World Mental Health Day' on October 10.
This campaign aims to dispel misunderstandings and prejudices about mental health and to promote the importance of mental health. Five organizations, including the Dongbu Hope Care Center, Gyeonggi Namyangju Child Protection Agency, Korea Employment Welfare Center, Gyeonggi Namyangju Regional Self-Support Center, and Namyangju City Disabled Welfare Center, will participate together.
During the campaign, the Mental Health Welfare Center plans to provide various welfare-related information such as △zero welfare crisis households △child abuse prevention △promotion of youth and national employment systems △self-support center projects.
Additionally, the Mental Health Welfare Center will operate booths where citizens can directly experience activities such as △flower tea tasting for people with developmental disabilities △exhibition of works from the weekly rehabilitation program △Mind Marble Quiz △stress screening △photo zone, creating an opportunity to enhance awareness of mental health.
Jung Tae-sik, Director of Namyangju Public Health Center, said, “I hope this Mental Health Day campaign will increase local residents' interest in mental health and serve as an opportunity to listen to their hearts.”
