2024 Dongducheon Kkumireum Club Overseas Training 'Smooth Sailing' Dongducheon Dream Room Club.

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) has been promoting the Dongducheon Dream Club Support Project since 2023 to provide a foundation for students to grow into global talents through support for their specialties, aptitudes, club activities, and domestic and international training.


In 2024, 15 clubs from elementary, middle, and high schools in the area participated in the contest, and the final five clubs selected were ‘Tutak Tutak Guten Tak’ (Dongducheon High School), ‘Bit&KCM Studio’ (Korea Culture and Media High School), ‘Nature Exploration Club’ (Songnae Jungang Middle School), ‘ButterStar’ (Dongducheon High School), and ‘Shinheung Doksa’ (Shinheung Middle School). These five selected clubs are expected to continue their domestic and international activities until January 2025.


In particular, on July 5, the Nature Exploration Club of Songnae Jungang Middle School launched the first signal of overseas training activities with a visit to Western Australia, and on October 2, the Shinheung Doksa club of Shinheung Middle School visited major cities in Germany to promote Dokdo Island of Korea before returning.


Following that, on the 3rd, the Bit&KCM Studio club of Korea Culture and Media High School departed for France to experience advanced arts education such as photography and film, planning to tour major cities including Paris, Lyon, and Cannes.


Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon said, “I hope this will be a meaningful opportunity for students to broaden their horizons through overseas visits, and I hope they will continue their club activities diligently during the remaining activity period.”
