7,648 Within Quota, 1,547 Outside Quota
Kyungnam College of Information & Technology (President: Kim Taesang) recorded a competition rate of 4.55 to 1 for the first round of the 2025 academic year early admissions, which closed on the 2nd.
On the 4th, Kyungnam College of Information & Technology announced that a total of 9,195 applicants applied, with 7,648 for the 1,682 spots within the quota and 1,547 for spots outside the quota.
The department with the highest competition rate was the Department of Physical Therapy, where 268 students applied for 2 spots in the specialized high school special admission track, resulting in a 134.0 to 1 competition rate. This was followed by the Department of Nursing's specialized high school special admission track with 35.2 to 1, the K-Beauty Stylist Department's general high school special admission track with 22.6 to 1, the Department of Semiconductors' specialized high school special admission track with 12.0 to 1, and the Hotel Baking and Pastry Department's specialized high school special admission track with 10.7 to 1.
Joo Wonsik, Director of Admissions at Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, said, "Despite the challenging environment for college admissions due to the declining school-age population and the healthcare crisis, the high employment rate, professional vocational education, and expectations for lifelong learning at Kyungnam College of Information & Technology were reflected in the number of applicants."
