Gijang County in Busan, Autumn Festival Full of Flavor and Style 'Jureongjureong'

Gijang Sea Eel, Chaseong Cultural Festival, Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival

Gijang-gun, Busan (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 4th that, with the arrival of October and the full swing of autumn, a variety of festivals and events reflecting the unique characteristics of the region will be held throughout the area.

First, from October 5th to 6th, the 18th Gijang Bunganga Festival will take place at Sinam Port in Gijang-eup, organized by the Gijang Bunganga Festival Committee (Chairman Cheon Daewon).

The Gijang Bunganga Festival, now in its 18th year, aims to widely promote the excellence of Gijang Bunganga and to preserve and develop healthy traditional food culture. The event will feature programs for all ages, such as ▲Yeonhwari! Singing Contest ▲Busking Show ▲Trot Concert (with guest singers Kim Soyou, Ryu Jigwang, and others) ▲Seafood Weight Guessing ▲Shell Bracelet Making, making it a festival full of flavor and style.

Additionally, from October 12th to 13th, the 18th Chaseong Cultural Festival will be held at Gijang-Hyundai Motor Dream Ball Park, organized by the Chaseong Cultural Festival Committee (Chairman Kang Juhun).

The Chaseong Cultural Festival is a traditional cultural event aimed at preserving and developing the traditional culture of Gijang-gun and promoting unity among residents.

Starting with the Gijang Residents' Walking Contest on the 12th, the festival will include ▲Parade by Towns and Villages ▲Traditional Cultural Performances and Experience Events ▲Romantic Concert by the Choi Baekho Band ▲Open Music Concert (with guest singers Ssakun, Mimirrose, KCM, Gummy, and others) ▲Chaseong Hangul Writing Contest ▲Chaseong Cultural Festival Commemorative Innet TV Star Show (with guest singers Nam Jin, Hyunsook, Ryu Jigwang, and others) ▲Gijang Artists Association’s ‘Gijang Art Festival’, offering a wide array of attractions and entertainment, making it a grand unity festival for Gijang residents.

Finally, from October 18th to 20th, the 10th Jeonggwan Ecostream Learning Culture Festival will be held at Jwagwangcheon in Jeonggwan-eup, organized by the Jeonggwan Ecostream Learning Culture Committee (Chairman Moon Jaechul).

Selected as the top festival by Busan City in 2024, the Jeonggwan Ecostream Learning Culture Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with even richer and more diverse programs. The event will feature ▲Street Parade ▲Science and English Experience Events ▲Youth Harmony Plaza ▲Jeonggwan Sharing Flea Market ▲National Children's Choir Contest ▲Jwagwangcheon Ecological Experience Program ▲Retro School Bags ▲Book Concert, and various performances with guest artists such as Dynamic Duo, Yang Ji-won, and Wonstein.

Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, stated, “As autumn arrives, a series of representative festivals will be held throughout the region, filling Gijang-gun with attractions and entertainment. We will focus on preparing the festivals and ensuring the safety of the venues so that many residents and tourists can enjoy the events and create precious memories.”
