Chungnam Online School to Open Next March... 34 Courses to Be Offered

Chungnam Online School will open in March next year.

According to the Chungnam Office of Education on the 4th, the opening of Chungnam Online School is being promoted to support subjects that are difficult to offer at individual high schools, following the introduction of the high school credit system starting next year.

Chungnam Online School will be established on the former site of Deoksan High School in Yesan-gun, and will include six online classrooms and one convergence lecture room. Classes will be operated in on-demand, designated, and region-specialized formats. For the first year, 34 courses will be offered to 411 students.

The Office of Education plans to begin preparations for the opening this month together with faculty members who have expertise in online classes.

Oh Myungtaek, Director of Secondary Education, said, "Chungnam Online School will provide students with subjects that are difficult to offer at individual schools," and added, "We will ensure the effective operation of the high school credit system in Chungnam."
